Due to parking issues, the License Renewal classes will now be held on the Third Monday of the month. The course runs 4 hours and satisfies the TDLR requirement for annual continuing education to renew your State of Texas Apprentice, Journeyman or Master License. Class starts at 5 pmsharp. The cost is $15 for members and $30 for non-members. Sign-up is under way for the October 17, 2011 class. November 21, 2011 will be the LAST class until January!!
NOTE: Effective February 1, 2011- There will be a $15.00 Re-Schedulingfee assessed for cancellation or no-show. Fee must be paid in advance to get on the next class roster!
NEW TDLR TESTING REQUIREMENT EFFECTIVE 9/1/2009-The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has contracted a new company to offer the Journeyman and Master Electrician Exams. After 9/1/2009, PSI will be the new testing agency and results for ICC tests passed after 9/1/2009 will no longer be accepted. TDLR also requires precertification before the Exams are to be taken. NEW TDLR RENEWAL REQUIREMENT EFFECTIVE 9/1/2010-The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has added the requirement that all licensed apprentices not enrolled in a US Department of Labor recognized program will be required to take license renewal classes annually. This means the next time your license is up for renewal AFTER 9/1/2010, as a CW/CE or traveler working in the jurisdiction with an Apprentice License, you will need to take a TDLR recognized course before you will be able to renew your license.
